Actually, the stores don't wait for Halloween to be over before putting out all of the Christmas stuff. When I was working this was the time I looked forward to. About a week before Thanksgiving people started taking vacation and honestly, not much work got done from then till after New Year. But now I'm retired. No work to avoid. Now I just have time to shop and I might even cook this year. No more excuses! :-D
Do you have teen-aged grandchildren? The younger ones are a little easier because they still want toys or dolls. It's gotten harder and harder to know what to get for the older ones, though. So about this time of year I start asking their parents what the kids would like. I guess I'll just have to go out shopping and maybe something will come to mind! If you have any suggestions, let me know.
